Essential Job Functions for Maintenance Electrician:
We are immediately searching for an experienced Industrial Electrician to be responsible for all electrical work performed in the plant and building maintenance.
Daily Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall repair and preventative maintenance of facility and grounds equipment.
Installation, troubleshooting & repair of low & high voltage (single/three phase) industrial electrical & control systems for packaging lines, facilities & plant support equipment such as air compressors, boilers, pumps, water purification system, production plant & warehouse lighting.
Maintain the building wiring to ensure any new wiring is within compliance. Upgrade outdated or unsafe electrical installations across the plant.
Responsible for all electrical emergency & scheduled maintenance tasks across the plant.
Ensure projects are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the highest quality standard.
Maintain a clean working environment upon completion of projects.
Comply with plant safety standards, GMPs, current standard practices and all other plant rules, policies/procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to overtime coverage for plant operations and production.
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or related field.
High school diploma or equivalent. - Advanced skills or trades training preferred.
Must have previous electrical experience.
Strong mechanical background and general building maintenance experience
Good written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to read, interpret, & modify electrical prints and schematics & document all self-created changes.
Must be able to use electrical diagnostic equipment such as multi meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Must have an understanding of electrical requirements for the task at hand.
Must have knowledge of Industry standard motion sensing & control devices.
Expert knowledge of DC & AC motors & drives.
Expert knowledge of processors.
Well versed in ladder logic.
Be computer literate & have knowledge of industry standard PLC programming & HMI device.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Must be able to physically endure the work schedule.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to adjust and move equipment to complete projects. Will work on the interior and exterior of the facility.
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and conditions.
A maintenance electrician should be able to climb on extension ladders, work from elevated platforms, from top of elevated structures and from the articulating boom lifts as needed.

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
Prepares reports documenting work performed.
Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Industrial electrical experience is a must.
PLC troubleshooting; programming is a plus.
Electrical circuitry troubleshooting and repair

Able to read and follow electrical diagrams and ladder logic.
Knowledge of pneumatics & hydraulics.
Maintenance mechanics will need to be organized.
Mechanics must be able to read blueprints and machine diagrams.
